We take food safety and hygiene seriously. We handle, store, and dispatch confectionery and food products in accordance with applicable food safety law and best practice. This policy outlines the standards we follow and what you can expect from us. It applies to our operations in the UK and, where we sell internationally, we comply with the law of our place of business and take account of relevant standards for the products we sell.
In the United Kingdom, we operate in line with the Food Safety Act 1990, the Food Safety and Hygiene (England) Regulations 2013 (and equivalent in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland), and other relevant legislation. We maintain procedures based on hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) principles where appropriate, and we co-operate with local authority environmental health and trading standards as required.
We source products from suppliers who we expect to meet legal and quality standards. We do not knowingly sell products that are unsafe or that do not meet labelling and composition requirements. Product information (including ingredients, allergens, and best-before or use-by dates) is displayed on our website and, where applicable, on packaging. We do not alter product packaging in a way that would compromise food safety or mislead consumers.
We store products in conditions that protect them from contamination, deterioration, and pests. Temperature-sensitive items are stored in accordance with manufacturer instructions and legal requirements. Our premises and handling practices are designed to minimise the risk of cross-contamination and to maintain product integrity from receipt through to dispatch.
We provide allergen information on product pages and, where applicable, on packaging. We take care to represent allergen information accurately based on information from our suppliers; however, formulations may change. It is your responsibility to check the current information before consumption. We are not liable for any adverse reaction resulting from reliance on outdated or incorrect information that we were not made aware of. See our Allergen Info page.
Products are packed for dispatch in a way that protects them from damage and contamination. We use appropriate packaging materials and, where relevant, insulated or chilled packaging for items that require it. Once the order leaves our premises, delivery is subject to our Shipping & Delivery Policy. You are responsible for storing and using products in line with any instructions on the packaging after delivery.
For reasons of food safety and hygiene, we cannot accept returns of opened or partially used food products. Unopened, resaleable items may be returned in line with our Returns & Refunds Policy. If you receive a product that is damaged, out of date, or that you believe is unsafe, contact us immediately and do not consume the product. We will investigate and, where appropriate, offer a replacement or refund.
Staff involved in handling food are trained in food safety and hygiene appropriate to their role. We keep training records and review our procedures regularly to maintain standards.
If you have a complaint or concern about food safety or hygiene, please contact us via the Contact page with as much detail as possible (e.g. product name, batch or date code, order reference). We will investigate and respond. Where necessary, we will report to the relevant authority and take corrective action. If you believe you have become ill from a product, seek medical advice and retain the product and packaging for investigation.
Where we sell to customers outside the UK, our operations remain subject to UK food law. We do not guarantee that our products meet every jurisdiction's local requirements; it is your responsibility to ensure that the import and use of our products comply with the laws of your country. We are not liable for any refusal or seizure of goods by customs or other authorities.
This policy describes our approach to food safety and hygiene. It does not replace the requirements of law or the need for you to follow packaging instructions and use products responsibly. Our liability is subject to our Terms & Conditions.
